Dean of Veterinary Medicine Finalists Announced


Dear Colleagues,

          

It is with pleasure that I announce three (3) outstanding finalists have accepted our invitation to participate in on-campus interviews for the position of Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine. Dates for their visits are listed below: 

 

Richard C. Prather, DVM, Owner, Ellis County Animal Hospital, Shattuck, Oklahoma

Interview: Sunday, Feb 1 through Tuesday, Feb 3

Campus Forum: Monday, Feb 2, 3:30 – 4:30 PM, Room 148, Robert J. Panciera Education Center and via Zoom (link will be included in posted itinerary)

Reception: Immediately following in foyer 

 

Jeffrey N. Bryan, DVM, MS, PhD, DACVIM (Oncology), Associate Director, Scott Endowed Program in Veterinary Oncology and Professor of Oncology, College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Missouri

Interview: Sunday, Feb 8 through Tuesday, Feb 10

Chad R. Brown, DVM, Executive Director of Hospital Operations and Clinical Associate Professor, College of Veterinary Medicine, Iowa State University

Interview: Sunday, Feb 15 through Tuesday, Feb 17

Campus Forum: Monday, Feb 16, 3:30 – 4:30 PM, Room 148, Robert J. Panciera Education Center and via Zoom (link will be included in posted itinerary)

Reception: Immediately following in foyer

 

The C.V., biographical sketch, itinerary, and electronic input sheet for each candidate will be made available on the CVM Dean search site by Wednesday afternoon, Jan 28. I strongly encourage you, CVM colleagues, and external constituents to attend (in person or virtually) the campus forum held during each candidate’s visit. 

 

Additionally, CVM faculty are encouraged to participate in the discussion sessions scheduled on the second day of each visit. As outlined in the itinerary, a research-focused discussion will take place from 11:00 – 11:30 AM, followed by a clinical and educational discussion from 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM.
