International Scholarships
Rhodes Scholarship
The Rhodes Scholarship provides funding for students to attend the University of Oxford
for graduate study in nearly every area. The Rhodes Scholarships were established
after the death of Cecil Rhodes, who wished to improve the world through the diffusion
of leaders motivated to serve their contemporaries, trained in the contemplative life
of the mind. Mr. Rhodes hoped that his plan of bringing able students throughout
the English-speaking world and beyond to study at Oxford would aid in the promotion
of international understanding and peace. Each year, 32 U.S. citizens are selected.
The deadline for the scholarship is the first Wednesday in October of each year.
Students must be at least 18 years old but not yet 24 years of age by the application
deadline.
Please visit the The Rhodes Trust web page and read as much of the information as
possible before discussing your application with our staff.
Gates Scholarship

University of Cambridge for graduate study to be considered for a Gates-Cambridge
scholarship. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of a person’s intellectual ability,
leadership capacity, and the desire to use their knowledge to contribute to society
throughout the world by providing service to their communities and applying their
talents and knowledge to improve the lives of others. The deadline is usually in
mid-November of each year.

forty scholars are selected each year and applicants may choose between a one year
