Hailin Zhang

Hailin Zhang is a Nutrient Management Extension Specialist and Arthur L. Reed Chair at the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences, Oklahoma State University (OSU). He has been with OSU since 1996. He is also the director of the Soil, Water and Forage Analytical Laboratory. He served as the Director of Agricultural Testing and Research Laboratory at the Navajo Agriculture Product Industry prior to joining OSU in 1996. Dr. Zhang received his BS degree from Nanjing Agricultural University, China, graduated from Iowa State University and the University of Minnesota with an MS and Ph.D. degree, respectively. His research and extension activities focus on soil, plant, water and animal waste testing, and nutrient management. He has authored or coauthored over 120 referred journal papers and edited 2 books. The Laboratory under his direction has doubled the number of samples in the last 15 years. He is the Fellow of Soil Science Society of America and American Society of Agronomy.
