Robert Baron
Regents Professor of Entrepreneurship
2013
Prof. Baron’s research stems from the view that entrepreneurship occurs at the interface
between human creativity, energy, and skills, and begins when specific individuals
recognize opportunities to create something new, different and better than what currently
exists, The process then continues only if these persons decide to take action to
convert the ideas generated by their creativity into reality—new products or services.
Within this framework, the entrepreneur is truly central to the entire process so
understanding why and how and they choose to undertake this challenging journey is
crucial to understanding the foundations of entrepreneurship, and why only some entrepreneurs
complete this voyage successfully. All of Prof. Baron’s is designed to shed new light
on these complex issues.
