Merrick Foundation Teaching Award
The Merrick Foundation Teaching Award is presented annually to a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor or above (tenure-track and career-track faculty are eligible), regardless of discipline, who is judged to bring to their students, through teaching and research, a better understanding and appreciation of the American economic system.
The deadline for the 2026 award is Friday, May 30.
Support materials outlined below should be forwarded electronically (one indexed pdf file) to the Merrick Foundation Teaching Award committee in care of the Office of Academic Affairs, provost@okstate.edu.

The selection committee includes the Director of the Institute for the Student of Free Enterprise, three previous winners, a representative from the OSU Foundation and a student appointed by Academic Affairs to review applications. The recipient recommended by the committee will receive a one-time stipend of $1,500, less applicable taxes and will be recognized at the University Awards convocation on Monday, Dec. 7, 2026.
