Bert Jacobson

Bert H. Jacobson is a Regents Professor in the area of Health and Human Performance, a Fellow in the American College of Sports Medicine, and holder of the M.B. Seretean Endowed Professorship in the area of Health and Human Performance. He has developed several graduate and undergraduate courses including course such as gerontology, epidemiology, applied anatomy, and health behavior. He has over 150 refereed publications and a similar number of peer-reviewed professional presentations which have been delivered on five different continents. He has managed grants and contracts worth over $3.4 million dollars and serves as Senior Associate Editor and Associate Editor several professional journals. His work in the area of Health and Human Performance has earned him the Regents’ Distinguished Research Award, the Inventor Recognition Award, and the OAHPERD Scholar Award. He has also served the College Education as Head of the School of Educational Studies and as Interim Associate Dean.
