Lisa Slevitch - Vice Chair

 

Dr. Lisa Slevitch is an Associate Professor at the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) within the Spears School of Business. She completed her PhD in 2007 in Foodservice and Lodging Management, specializing in hospitality marketing at Iowa State University. Dr. Slevitch's research interests include hospitality marketing and management, particularly in the areas of customer satisfaction determinants, consumer behavior, and sustainability. Her articles have been published in top hospitality journals, including the International Journal of Hospitality Management, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, and Cornell Hospitality Quarterly. She also serves on the editorial boards of several leading hospitality and tourism journals. Currently, Dr. Slevitch is an active member of national and international professional and academic associations and serves on the Board of the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education, the leading professional association in the field of hospitality.

Dr. Slevitch has served the School of HTM, Spears School of Business, and the University in various capacities. She has represented the HTM department in several Spears School of Business committees, as well as served on the Graduate Faculty Council and the School of International Studies Executive Committee. Over the past three years, she has been a member of the Faculty Council, serving on the Academic Standards and Policies committee, serving as Chair of the Retirement and Fringe Benefits Committee and the Pandemic Special Committee. Currently, Dr. Slevitch serves as Faculty Council Vice Chair.
