Council of Deans
The Council of Deans, chaired by the Provost and Senior Vice President, includes the Senior Vice Provost; the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs of the OSU System; the Vice Provost for Outreach, Online Education and ITLE; the Associate Provost for Student Success; the Assistant Vice President for Provost’s Priorities and Strategic Initiatives; the Provost and Vice President of the Center for Health Sciences; the dean of each undergraduate college (Ferguson College of Agriculture; Arts and Sciences; Business; Education and Human Sciences; and Engineering, Architecture and Technology); and the deans of the Honors College, the Edmon Low Library, OSU Global, the Graduate College, the College of Veterinary Medicine, the College of Professional Studies at OSU-Tulsa and the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine. Members of the OSU executive leadership team are invited to attend as needed for specific discussion items.
This group meets twice every month to discuss critical matters facing the University and all aspects of the instruction, research and outreach/service missions of the institution, including academic programming, academic policies and procedures, personnel policies, and budget. The Council also considers recommendations from the OSU Faculty Council, Staff Advisory Council, Student Government Association, Graduate and Professional Student Government Association, Instruction Council and other advisory groups, and makes recommendations to the President based on these.
