Open Forums Invitation – Your Voice Matters

OSU will soon welcome peer reviewers from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) as part of our reaffirmation of accreditation process. Accreditation is crucial for the university, and employee and student participation is a vital part of the reaffirmation process that occurs every ten years.
 
As part of this visit, the review team will host open forums for faculty, staff, and students. These forums provide an opportunity for our community to share experiences and examples, speaking directly with the peer reviewers about OSU’s mission, integrity, teaching and learning, and institutional effectiveness.

Your participation is crucial. Strong attendance is a way to demonstrate our community’s commitment to OSU’s land-grant mission, engagement, transparency, and continuous improvement. Participants are welcome to attend one or multiple sessions, depending on interest and availability. Following HLC review practices, these sessions are conducted directly between members of the campus community and the peer review team. Upper administrators (i.e., senior leadership, VPs and Deans) are excluded from the open forums, allowing the reviewers to engage broadly and candidly with participants from across the institution.
