Best Practices for Student Success – March 6, 2019

The inaugural Retention to Graduation Conference included speakers, sessions and posters focused on enhancing student success at OSU. The conference was sponsored by the Division of Academic Affairs, Division of Student Affairs, and the Retention to Graduation Committee.

Dr. Christie Hawkins (above), associate vice president of Institutional Research and Information Management at OSU, spoke on using big data to understand the factors that contribute to student success and how OSU uses it to better help students.

Dr. Linda C. Martin, the vice president for Academic Affairs and Student Success for the University of Tennessee System, shared important information on sophomore year success factors and how they have a significant impact on retention.
